Stress relaxation in high-entropy Pd20Pt20Cu20Ni20P20 metallic glass: Experiments, modeling and theory

The viscoelastic properties of Pd20Pt20Cu20Ni20P20 high-entropy metallic glass were probed by dynamic mechanical spectroscopy and stress relaxation. experimental evolution can be characterized the empirical Kohlrausch-Williams-Watts function during tensile relaxation measurement. We develop a linear model able to describe whole process in wide range temperatures. takes into account microstructural heterogeneity glass, thus its dynamical heterogeneity, so that thermal effect stress-driven are physically decoupled. activation energy spectra at various temperatures reveal changes deformation units relaxation, which is result interplay between temperature. This study decomposes widespread hierarchical dynamics due structural accommodates glasses.
